This Watercolor paper is not bad for practice - I would not use it for a serious piece or for something I'm going to hang on the wall. I will likely use at least some of it for a DIY book binding project I want to work on, to make a personal watercolor sketchbook. The paper has a good texture to it, and I believe it's likely cellulose (it doesn't say on the cover what it's made of, which tells me that it's likely not cotton or a blend). My pad arrived damaged from shipping, unfortunately, but that is not the fault of the manufacturer (see photos). It was actually pretty lucky that only the first couple of pages were affected by the damage! One odd thing I noticed is that the texture only appears on one side of each page - the back side looks more like a hot-pressed paper (or almost hot pressed - it's not quite as smooth). That could be useful for practicing on both types of texture, and the paper is heavy enough that you could potentially use both sides.I was going to give this 3 stars because of the quality not being anything to write home about (I can't remove stars due to shipping damage since it's no fault of the paper itself), but since it's a good value with the price point for 20 sheets being less than 10 bucks (at the time of writing this review), I had to give back one star for a total of 4.

A paper that is what it says it is and doesn't say it's 100% cotton when it isn't... Thank you! I got exactly what I expected, if not a bit better quality than expected. It's good for my watercolor warmups or painting out some of my ideas before putting on watercolor paper. It isn't going to stay wet for you to do wet on wet techniques, unless you're a very, very speedy painter. But it will give me an idea if I want to go forward with an idea. I paint everyday, and before I do I always do warmups. I use this book for those and anything else as mentioned above, it works great for that. The texture is like a hot pressed paper, very smooth. I think it's a good value for the money and the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I do wish it was 100% cotton, it would make the PERFECT warmup book!!! But as much as this paper is lacking in areas, I appreciate the honesty in their labeling. If I could have one wish, it's for them to maybe consider a 100% cotton version, if you guys read these, that would be amazing!🙏🏼😬

This is very much a student quality paper. It does the job, but you won't want to use this for professional paintings or archiving art. The paper is thick but not as thick as comparable 140 lb watercolour paper I have. I think this does a better job for oil pastels than other types of media.

This is a very good quality pad of watercolor paper with a good texture. It doesn’t absorb to quickly and doesn’t bleed through. It has a good weight and holds the color well. I wouldn’t call this the highest quality you can get but it is very sufficient for my use.

Seems priced right at about $10 listed. However, compared to another pad that I have from a local storen the thickness of the paper doesn't seem consistent. This says it is 140 pounds , but as seen in the photo it definitely isn't as rigid or thick feeling as the other pad I have that says 140 pound paper. The comppad is from a standard craft store.Overall okay for practice paper, but not for anything you'd actually want to display or save or create long-term.In the pictures the flimsy one is the one that was ordered and the stiffer one is the one from the craft store.

You can tell by the weight that it isn't the heaviest paper, so this isn't paper to use for a professional piece, or for something you'll display at home. I can still give 3 stars because of the value for paper.
